Notes
a. Note:   According to Matilda Lowe Martin Parker, The Lowe children had a step sister, Betsy Matthews. Betsy married John Shehe. According to Mrs. Matilda Lowe Martin Parker, her husband James was a ship's captain who was killed aboard ship during a mutiny in 1824. In 1837 history repeated itself when son James Henry Martin was drowned at sea with his cousin Robert Martin on Robert's father's ship. It was presumed that the ship sank with all hands. According to tradition, the loss was too much ofr Levicea, and she died of a broken heart.
