a. Note:   The Lost Gossett's of SE Va and NE NC Updated September 5, 2000 My father, John Day Gossett, Sr. was born in Warren County, N.C. on 14 Feb. 1886 the youngest of four boys (Nicholas, Charlie, George, John) and apparently the sons of a Kindred Gossett who was married to Sarah Alice Myrick who was born on 18 June 1851. Sarah died 16 Feb. 1913.
  Apparently. Kindred died quite young as Nicholas is credited with being the main male influence in the rearing of the other boys. In spite of us being from quite large families, we waited too long to begin the search and appear to have hit a dead end with details on Kindred. The search is hampered by the loss of pertinent census records in the well known fire. I'm looking and always appreciate help.
