· Note:No definitive proof has been found thus far documenting Elizabeth Allen as the child of Mary Reeves and Bartlett Allen; however, based upon research of the Allen families in Wake County at the time of Elizabeth's birth and marriage to Wright Stanly, it is reasonably certain that she is their child.
Following Wright Stanly's death sometime after 1850, his estate is administered by Peleg Rogers who has a family connection. Bartlett Allen deeded all of his property, plantation, stock and the majority of his household effects for $25.00 in 1830 to Peleg Rogers' father, Benjamin Rogers. The deed gives no explanation for this conveyance, i.e. payment of a note, etc.
