Note:   As told by Mary Kocerha February 1, 1970 to Bob Kocerha and Shirley Heady: during the summer of 1903, John and Mary moved to Trinidad, CO. John worked in the coal mines there until they went on strike. They then moved back to Calhan, CO. John worked at the glass works in Manitou Springs, CO. After George was born in May, 1904, they moved near Boulder, CO where John worked in the coal mines. They lived there for 6 years and then moved back to homestead 11 miles northwest of Calhan.
