 Last will and testament of J. P. Mitchell. Know all men by these presents, I, J. P. Mitchell of the 7th District of Dickson County Tennessee, and being of sound mind and knowing the uncertainty of life, and the certainty of death, and wishing to make my last will and testament

 1st I direct that all my debts be paid as soon as possible

 2nd I bequeath to my wife, H. E. Mitchell, the tract of land on Harpeth River, containing fourteen acres more or less and 50 acres of my home place (including dwelling and out houses) as a homestead beginning at the A. E. Pardues corner near my gate and running west with the Charlotte Road to an elm in the plat, there west to my line, thence north until said 500 to a stake thence east to A. E. Pardues line, thence south with said line; to the beginning, to have and to hold during life and at her death, to be divided equal between her children and all the kitchen furniture, and all of my stocks, wagons, and implements.

 3rd I bequeath to my son, B. W. Mitchell, 25 acres of land and improvements where he now lives and all the balance of my real estate to be divided equal, my daughters Sally Hunter, William Mitchell, Dave Mitchell, Betty Pinson, Benny Smith to have and to them and their children or assigns, Sally are to have her share this 23rd day of December 1899.

 During the 1820's Cumberland Presbyterian churches were built throughout the county… (one at) Mount Liberty in the present vicinity of Bellsburg." An active cemetery organization has placed small concrete stones at all the graves in this cemetery-with names and dates when known, and marked "unknown" when not. There are a great number marked unknown." The name "Pinson" has the following markers:
