Note: As a child I remember James Dunn and his wife (in a wheel chair) on River Street near the lower bridge (that has been torn down). My dad, Hugh O'Connor, learned the trade from the Dunns and a German butcher that worked there. Art Dunn, Ollie and the 3 boys lived one block from us. I knew Ernest and Hester and daughter Larraine and husband Emmet Kehl. My Uncle Curt Heaton helped in their dairy until it closed. Edna and her family lived south of town on a farm. The girls were younger than me but I know them all. Charlie Dunn ran a Café on the east side of 4th Street here in Central City. He was a good chef and Bill and I ate there often when we worked at Camp Hitoga and made trips to Cedar Rapids and timed it perfectly to eat there at noon. As for Leo Dunn, I don't know about him.
