Text: DEATH OF MR R. E. ASPINALL The sudden death of Mr R. E. Aspinall, of Clermont came as a great shock to his relatives. He was in his usual health the day previous and when he retired for the night appeared to be well, but early in the morning was seized with a turn and passed away sud- denly. The late Mr Aspinall was born at Gympie in 1880. in his young days he followed droving, and recalled driving a mob of cat- tle from the Gulf to the NSW border. It took many months. He afterwards engaged in gold min- ing and worked on the Gym- pie field for some years and later at Many Peaks, also at Mt Morgan for about six years. Ten years ago he came to Clermont and resided with his nephew (Mr F. Wessels) and assisted his ne- phew in his shop. He is survived by two sons and one daughter, also 11 grandchildren. The funeral moved from the Methodist Church, the Rev. J. W. Savage conducting the services at the church and graveside.
