The death occurred, in the Brisbane Hospital at the week-end after a long illness of Mr Edgar Harold Jeffs, a well-known resident of Lander's Shute, Palmwoods. The late Mr. Jeffs was born in England 56 years ago, and come to Queensland when about 23 years of age. He took up farming in the Mapleton district, where he remained for 15 years. He spent the last 18 years at Lander's Shute. Mr. Jeffs was married twice and is survived by his second wife and 13 children— seven sons and three daughters by his first wife and two sons and a daughter by the second.
