Text:   DEATH OF MRS ELIZABETH SANDERSON
 Another identity linking the pre-
 sent with the long past crossed the
 Rubicon on Saturday last, when Mrs.
 Elizabeth Sanderson, relict of the
 late Richard Sanderson, of Newtown,
 Tumut, died at the Tumut Hospital
 at 5 p.m. The deceased was a native
 of the district, being a daughter of
 the late John Goody, one of the very
 early settlers. Her age was 65
 years. In the palmy era of the dis-
 trict her husband was one of its lead
 ing commercial citizens. Her husband
 predeceased her by two years. There
 were nine children of the family, two
 (May and Stanley) having prede-
 ceased her. The surviving members
 are : Richard Herbert, Myra Ethel
 (Mrs. Walter Barratt, Ardlethan),
 Frederick William, George Edward,
 Leslie James, John Henry and Cecil.
 The funeral took place on Monday,
 the cortege moving from deceased's
 late residence for the new cemetery,
 where Very Rev. Fr. J. Sharkey, P.P.,
 officiated at the graveside.
