Note: . (Co. K 16th Pa. Cal.) (Co. A 193 Infantry) (Co. K 161 Reg.) (Co. B 8th Cal. Reg. Pa.). His wife, Catharine Lerch Mack filed a Widow's Claim # 370.817 - Lehigh Co., PA. Certificate # 352.004. Peter Mack enlisted in the war in Harrisburg and was honorably discharged in Richmond, VA on 11 Aug. 1865. From this claim, some genealogical information was given: Her Post Office address was Hokendauqua, Lehigh Co., PA. The attending physician swore in Court for Catherine Mack's pension application that Peter Mack died on the 21st day of Oct. 1887 and that Catherine is utterly poor. Pension states that Catherine Lerch and Peter Mack were married 15 Feb. 1852 by Rev. E. Helpril (?) at Bath, Pa. Two children are mentioned in the pension application - Mrs. Sunday and Geo. W. Mack. Peter & Catharine had 8 children: Ellen, Diana, Franklin, George, Mary Ann, Edwin, Lillie and Henry Mack, Sr. Originally, Peter Mack was buried in the Mickley Cemetery when he died in 1887. At some point after then, Catharine moved to Bethlehem to live with one of her children. When she died on 15 Sept. 1915 she was buried there. On Aug. 3, 1914, Geo. Mack, Mary Flickinger, Ellen Smoykeffer, Lillie Sunday, Edwin Mack and Catharine Mack, herself, purchased several lots there. On 18 Nov 1918, Peter Mack was removed from Mickley to Nisky Hill Cemetery. From Bethlehem Daily Times Newspaper: Peter Mack native of Hokendququa died Oct. 21, 1887 in Hokendauqua age 62.
