a. Note:   hilip Buchecker, of Upper Saucon, who died intestate in 1791. On 9 January 1798, a "request for petition inquest" was introduced in Northampton Co. Orphans Court. This request, which listed all of Philip's surviving children, stated that one of his 12 surviving children was "Elizabeth, wife of Jacob Morry".   In the 1791-1798 time period the only known Jacob Morry/Mory/Morey, who was of the right age to have married Philip Buchecker's daughter, Elisabeth Buchecker, and was also living in Upper Saucon, was the Jacob Morey/Mory born in 1764.
  Baptismal records of the first two children (John and Tobias) of Jacob and Elisabeth Morey/Mory suggest that they married while still living in Upper Saucon, prior to their move to Upper Mt. Bethel Twp. So it makes sense that Jacob would have married a woman from the Upper Saucon area.
  Also, the sponsors at the baptism of Tobias Morey, son of Jacob and Elisabeth Morey, were Baltzer and Margaretha Buchecker. Since the sponsors at baptisms were usually related to the parents, this suggests that Elisabeth was probably related somehow to Baltzer Buchecker.
