a. Note:   The sponsors at Elizabeth Morey's baptism were her parents. In 1850 Elizabeth (Morey) Johnson, age 56, was living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., Northampton Co., PA, with her husband, Jacob Johnson, age 60 a farmer, and six of their children; Jacob Johnson age 29 a laborer, Philip Johnson age 26 a laborer, Jesse Johnson age 22 a laborer, Wilson Johnson age 19 a laborer and Sally Ann Johnson age 36. Their farm was valued at $6500. (1850 census, microfilm roll #803, Northampton Co., PA., Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., pg. 475, house #306)
  In 1870 Elizabeth Johnson, age 75, and listed as retired, was living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp. in the household of her son, Jacob Johnson age 47 a farmer, and his wife, Julia A. Johnson age 45.

  In 1880 widow Elizabeth (Morey) Johnson, age 87, was still living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp. in the household of her son, Jacob Johnson, age 57 a farmer, and his wife, Juliann Johnson age 55. Also listed in their household was John Williams, age 14, a servant boy. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1163, Page 389A, house #1)
  Elizabeth died in Upper Mt. Bethel and is buried next to her husband in the old cemetery at Stone Church. Her obituary appeared in the "Argus" newspaper.
  Elizabeth died intestate. The executor of her estate was her son, Jesse Johnson. (Estate file #10168, Northampton County Government Center, Easton, PA)
