Judah (Gutah) is mentioned in her brother, Philip's, will in 1840. Four years later, she married Peter Henry Wilson. They were married by John De Young, Esq. In 1844 they were both living in Upper Mount Bethel. Their marriage was announced in the Thursday, 5 December 1944 edition of the "Democrat and Argus" newspaper.
In 1850 Judah (Morey) Nelson, age 46, was living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., Northampton Co., PA, with her husband "Henry" Nelson age 41 born in Germany a butcher. Her name was shown as "Juty". Their property was valued at $1,000. Three other people were living in their household; a boy named P. H. Ziegler aged 6 years, William Dietrich age 22 a butcher, and Mary Rambell aged 30. In 1860 Judith (Morey) Nelson, age 57, was living in Upper Mount Bethel Twp., Northampton Co., PA, with her husband, Peter H. Nelson, age 53. In 1870 Judah (Morey) Nelson, listed as age 56 but actually age 66, was still living with her husband, Peter H. Nelson, age 63 a butcher, in Upper Mount Bethel Twp. Her name was listed in the census of that year as "Judith". They owned real estate valued at $4,000 and personal property of $800. Also living in their household were Mary Reimel age 40 a domestic servant, Wilson Deitterich age 41 a butcher, and George ? age 17 a farm laborer. In 1880 widow Judah (listed in the census as Judith) Nelson, age 77, was still living in Upper Mount Bethel Twp. Listed in her household were a niece, Mary Reimel, age 50; a nephew Wilson Deitterick. age 52. a farmer; and a grand nephew; Peter H. Nelson, age 33. with his wife, Frances Nelson, age 28, and their son, Henry Nelson age 7. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1163, Page 403A, house #1)
