  In 1870 Mary (Morey) Detrick, age 65, was still living in Middle Smithfield Twp., Monroe Co., PA, with her husband, John E. Detrick age 65 a farmer, Five of their children were still living at home; Moses (listed as Morris) age 36 a laborer, Alfred age 30 a laborer, Franklin age 23 a laborer, Mariah age 27, and Mary A. age 22. Also living in their household was Frances P. Banghart, age 12. Mary and John owned real estate valued at $20,000 and personal property of $10,000.   In 1880 Mary (Morey) Detrick, age 74, was living in Middle Smithfield Twp., Monroe Co., PA, in the household of her son, Moses Detrick age 43 a farmer. Also listed in their household were George Halterman age 21 a laborer, and Susanna Smith age 18 a servant. Moses Detrick was listed as married but his wife was not listed in the household.   Mary (Morey) Detrick died at the home of her son, Moses, near Marshalls Creek, at the age of 88 years.
  "Easton Daily Argus, Easton PA, Saturday afternoon, 23 December 1893:
 MORTUARY RECORD
 Mary, widow of the late John Detrick, died at the residence of her son, Moses Detrick, near Marshall's creek, Monroe county, on Saturday, December 16, aged eighty-eight years and one month. Her maiden name was Morey, and she was a daughter of the late Jacob Morey, of this county. Mrs. Detrick was of a long lived family, one of her sisters dying recently aged over ninety years. Her father died at he age of ninety-four years, and two brothers died at about ninety-three years of age. Jacob and Wilson Detrick, of Mt. Bethel, are sons of deceased. (Note: The Jacob Detrick, of Mt. Bethel, mentioned in the above obituary has not been identified.)

  Mary is buried with her husband in the cemetery at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Craig's Meadows north of East Stroudsburg, PA.
