Note: The sponsors at Philip Johnson's baptism were John Eyer and Judith Mory (the child's aunt). In 1870 Philip Johnson, age 47, was a farmer in Upper Mount Bethel Twp. with real estate valued at $2,000 and personal property of $300. He was living with his wife, Sarah A. Johnson age 30, and two children; Sabina Johnson age 6 and William H. Johnson age 1. (1870 census, microfilm roll 1383, Northampton Co., PA., Upper Mount Bethel Twp., pg. 436, house #476) In 1880 Philip Johnson, age 57 a farmer, was still living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp. with his wife, Sarah A. Johnson age 52, and two children; daughter Sabina Johnson age 16 and William H. Johnson age 10. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1163, Page 401B) In 1890 Philip Johnson was still living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp. with his wife, Sarah A. Johnson, and two children; Sabina Johnson and William H. Johnson. (1890 Census Directory of Northampton Co., Upper Mt. Bethel) In 1900 Philip Johnson, age 77 a farmer, and his wife, Sarah A. Johnson age 70, were still living in Upper Mount Bethel Twp. Their children had left home. The census showed that Sarah had two children, both of whom were still living in 1900.
