Note: The sponsors at Peter Morey's baptism were Abraham Yunken and his wife, Elisabeth. In 1870 Peter Morey, age 40, was a farmer in Upper Mount Bethel Twp. with real estate valued at $6,000 and personal property of $600. He was living three doors away from his parent's home with his wife, Elizabeth Morey age 40, and three sons; William Morey age 12, Oliver Morey age 10 and Edward Morey age 6. (1870 census, microfilm roll 1383, Northampton Co., PA., Upper Mount Bethel Twp., pg. 445, house #622) In 1880 Peter Mory, age 50 a farmer, was living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp. with his wife, Elizabeth Mory age 50, and two sons, Edward Mory age 17 and Milton Mory age 9. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1163, Page 388C, house #6) In 1890 Peter Morey was still living in Upper Mount Bethel Twp. (1890 Census Directory of Northampton Co., Upper Mt. Bethel) In 1900 Peter, a widower, was living with his son, Edward and his family, in Upper Mount Bethel Twp. (1900 census, Northampton Co., PA., Upper Mount Bethel Twp., p. 122 A, house #250) He died about six months after the census was taken. Peter died intestate. The administrator of his estate was his son, William F. Morey. (Estate file #15201, Northampton County Government Center, Easton, PA) The cemetery listing shows that he died 14 November 1900 but the Northampton Co. Death Register shows he died 16 November 1900.
