  Judah Morey's marriage to Jacob Brands appeared in the "Argus" newspaper. In 1853 they were both living in Upper Mt. Bethel.
  In 1870 Judah (Morey) Brands, age 41, was living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., Northampton Co., PA, with her husband, Jacob Brands age 39 a farmer, and five Brands children; Margareth age 16, Sarah age 12, John age 10, Emma age 9, and Peter F. age 2. Jacob owned real estate valued at $6,000 and personal property of $1,000. (1870 census, microfilm roll #1383, Northampton Co., PA., Upper Mount Bethel Twp., pg. 431, house #387)
  In 1880 Judah (Morey) Brands, age 52, and her husband, Jacob D. Brands age 49 born in NJ, a farmer, were still living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp. with two daughters, Emma Brands age 18 and Ella Brands age 10. A Peter Miller, age 20, was boarding in their home. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1163, Page 377C, house #245)
  In 1890 Judah (Morey) Brands was still living in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp. with her husband, Jacob D. Brands and daughter Ellen Brands. (1890 Census Directory of Northampton Co., Upper Mt. Bethel Twp.) They reportedly lived in East Bangor.
  In 1900 Judah (Morey) Brands, age 73, was still living in Upper Mount Bethel Twp. with her husband, Jacob Brands, age 69, who was listed as a day laborer. Their children had all left home. The census showed that Judah had nine children, of whom four were still living in 1900. (1900 census, Northampton Co., PA., Upper Mount Bethel Twp., pg. 130A, house #92)
  The name inscribed on her tombstone in Centerville Cemetery is Judah. The date of birth on her stone is 9 March 1827 but the church record of her baptism shows that she was born 3 March 1828.
