Note: e also engaged in a number of other trades including farming, the lumber business, and real estate. He was president of the Board of Directors of the National Bank. William died in South Bethlehem at the age of 62 years and was buried in Section A, Lot #121, in Nisky Hill Cemetery. (Obit extract from "Bethlehem Daily Times") On 5 August 1882 William prepared his will. He bequeathed houses and lots at 4th and Vine Sts. in South Bethlehem to his wife, Elizabeth, and directed that his farm in Upper Saucon Twp. was to be sold. After the death of his wife, all real estate and other property was to be given to his daughter Amanda, wife of William H. Sell. He appointed his wife, Elizabeth, and brother, Samuel Rothrock, the executors. His will was proved 5 August 1889.
