Wilhelm served in the Revolutionary War in 1782. He was married but there is no evidence that he had any children.
In the first federal census of 1790, Wilhelm was living in Upper Saucon Twp., Northampton Co., PA. He was listed as "William Murry". Living in his household were one male over the age of 16 years, one male under the age of 16, and three females.
Sometime after July of 1775, but before November of 1793, Wilhelm Mory and his wife, Barbara, made an agreement with the elders and trustees of the German Lutheran and Evangelic Reformed Congregations of Upper Saucon Twp. to set apart two acres of the land that Wilhelm had been given by his father, Jacob, to provide for the erection of a church or house of worship, a schoolhouse and a
grave yard for the joint use of the congregations. This two acre tract was part of the tract of 222 acres and 20 perches that Jacob Mory had purchased from Philip Trapp and Dorothy his wife in 1773. By 1793 the church had been erected and was known by the name "Die Allgemeine Friedens Kirch". It is now known as Friedens Church at Friedensville in Upper Saucon Twp.
On 21 November 1793 Wilhelm Mory and his wife, Barbara, signed an indenture (deed in trust) with Adam Bietz of Lower Saucon, one of the elders and trustees of the Lutheran Congregation, and Adam Romich, one of the elders and trustees of the Evangelic Reformed Congregation, to confirm the above agreement. Adam Beitz and Adam Romich paid five shillings for the two acre tract. (Northampton
 Co. deed book H, vol. 1, p. 437, recorded 16 December 1793)
Wilhelm died intestate. A bond was issued in Lehigh Co. on 1 September 1817 to Barbara Mohry (his wife), Peter Mohry (his brother), and John Apple to administer his estate. His estate was inventoried on 25 September 1817 and the final account was filed on 6 November 1818. (Estate file #220, Lehigh County Courthouse, Allentown, PA)
The name inscribed on Wilhelm's tombstone in the old graveyard adjacent to Friedens Church is "Wilhelm Mohry".
