  In the first federal census of 1790 Peter Mory was living in Upper Saucon Twp. in Northampton Co., PA. He was listed as "Peter Morey". Living in his household were one male over the age of 16 years, one male under 16, and 4 females.
  Peter's death was announced in the 20 March 1828 issues of the German language newspapers "Unabhaengiger Republikaner" and "Der Friedens Bote" of Allentown, PA.
  Peter Mory (Mohry) left a will written on 1 October 1821. He willed lands and a farm bounded by lands of William Mohry, Leonard Reichart, and Gotthard Mohry to his son Jacob. He left 108 acres and 41 perches of land plus a tract of 25 acres of woodland in Salisbury Tsp., Lehigh Co., to his son John.
  The will also mentions his wife Catherine and daughters Magdalena (a widow in 1821), Maria, Catharine, Elizabeth and Susanna. Executors of the estate were his sons, Jacob and John "Mohry". Leters testamentary were granted 24 March 1828 and the estate was settled 16 February 1829. (Estate file #814, Lehigh County Courthouse, Allentown, PA)
