In 1850 Joseph Wind, age 38 a farmer, was living in Moore Twp., Northampton Co., PA, with his wife, Polly Wind, age 33, and two children: - Isabella Wind, age 14 - Henry Wind, age 16 Joseph owned property valued at $7,000. Also listed in their household were: George Laub, age 20, and Susan Best, age 56. Everyone in the household was born in PA. Also listed in their household were their married daughter, Isabella (Wind) Moser, age 22, and her husband, John Moser, age 26, a farm hand, and two of their sons: - Henry Moser, age 5 - Parmer Moser, age 2 The last person listed in the household was Sara Schoenaberger, age 18. All were born in PA. (1860 census, microfilm roll M653_1148, Page 877, house #493, family #517) In 1870 Joseph Wind (listed in the census as "Windt"), age 57, a retired farmer, was living in the Boro of Bath, PA with his wife, Mary Wind, age 53. He owned real estate valued at $10870 and had personal property of $300. Both were born in PA.(1870 census, microfilm roll M593_1381, pg. 425, house #133, family #145) Joseph's obituary appeared in the "Argus" newspaper in Easton, PA. Joseph left a will in which he gave his estate to his two surviving children, Henry F. Wind and Isabella, wife of John Moser. His son Henry was the administrator of the estate. (Estate file #9809, will book 9, pg. 322, Northampton County Government Center, Easton, PA) In 1880 Joseph's widow, Mary Wind, listed as age 61, was living in Bath in Northampton Co., PA, with another widow, Elizabeth Siegfred, age 80.
