  Maria Catharina Buchecker is belived to have arrived in America with her parents on 13 October 1747 at the port of Philadelphia, PA, on the ship "Two Brothers". The signers of the oaths of allegiance and abjuration by the adult male passengers arriving on this ship include "Valentine Buckaker/Buchaker", who witnessed his name, as entered by the court clerk, with a large letter "X". (See Strassburger and Hinke, "Pennsylvania German Pioneers", pgs. 367 and 369, Lists 115B and 115C)
  After the death of her first husband, Wilhelm Mory, Maria Catharina (nee Buchecker) Mory married Philip Scherer, who died around 1812.
