a. Note:   The sponsors at Jacob's baptism were Jacob Boger and his wife, Anna. Jacob was married to Eva Buchecker by Rev. Dechant. Their marriage was announced in the Friday, 13 March 1812 edition of the German language newspaper "Unabhaengiger Republikaner". At the time of their marriage in 1812, they were both living in Upper Saucon Twp.
  Jacob is buried in the old churchyard cemetery at Friedens Church. The date of birth inscribed on his tombstone is 25 December 1785 but the church record of his baptism shows he was born 15 December 1785.
