Esther Mory was married to Samuel Schneider by Rev. Josua Jager (Jaeger). At the time of their marriage in 1832 they were both living in Upper Saucon Twp. Their marriage was announced in the 16 February 1832 edition of the german language newspaper "Der Friedens Bote" of Allentown, PA.
In 1850 Esther (Mory) Snyder, age 39, was living in Upper Saucon Twp., Lehigh Co., PA, with her husband, Samuel Snyder, age 42 a farmer, and two Snyder children; Lavina age 17 and Paulina age 14, in Upper Saucon Twp. Also listed in their household were Elemina Reis age 20 and Reuben Marsteller age 18. (1850 census, microfilm roll #792, Lehigh Co., PA, Upper Saucon Twp., pg. 219A, house #412)
In 1870 Esther (Mory) Snyder, age 60, was still living in Upper Saucon Twp. with her husband, Samuel Snyder age 62. Samuel's occupation was listed as "oversees mining" indicating that he was probably a foreman at one of the several limestone quarries in the Upper Saucon area. They had no real estate but owned personal property of $350. Also listed in their household was their grand-daughter, Pauline Rudolph age 14, and Henry Yeager age 71, a retired farmer, and his wife, Catharine Yeager, aged 68.
