In 1850 Daniel Mory, age 25 and still single, a carpenter by trade, was living with his parents in Upper Saucon Twp., Lehigh Co., PA. Daniel Mory was married to Elemina Reiss by Rev. Daniel Zellner (Zeller).
In 1870 Daniel W. Mory (listed in the census as "Mohry"), age 46 a carpenter, was living in Upper Saucon Twp. in Lehigh Co., PA, with his wife, Elemina Mory age 40, and three of their children; Amanda S. (Mory) Ohle age 17, Ascillia (aka. Cecelia) Mory age 15, and Charles Mory age 9. Amanda S. was already married to John Ohl but he was not listed in the household. Also listed in their household was Hannah Reiss age 74, Elemina's widowed mother. Daniel owned real estate valued at $1500 and personal property of $1000. In 1880 Daniel Mory (listed as "Mohry"), age 54 a farmer, and his wife, Elemina Mory age 50, were still living in Upper Saucon Twp. in Lehigh Co. Also listed in their household was Hannah Reiss age 82, Elemina's widowed mother. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1147, Page 279D , house #120)
Daniel left a will in which he mentioned his wife and children. The executors of his estate were Charles D. Mory, John Ohl, and Francis A. Reinhard. (Estate file #9766, Lehigh County Courthouse, Allentown, PA)
