  In 1850 Benjamin Mory, age 24 a laborer, and still single, was living with his parents in Upper Saucon Twp., Lehigh Co., PA. (1850 census, microfilm roll #792, Lehigh Co., PA, Upper Saucon Twp., pg. 201A, house #134) He was also a cordwainer and farmer. He lived near Lanark, PA.
  In 1870 Benjamin Mory, age 44 and listed as a laborer, was living in Upper Saucon Twp. with his wife, Susan Mory age 35, and daughter, Harriet Mory age 10. He owned real estate valued at $3500 and had personal property of $1000. (1870 census, microfilm roll #1363, Lehigh Co., PA, Upper Saucon Twp., pg. 622, house #171)
  In 1880 Benjamin Mory (listed as "Mohry"), age 53 a farmer, was living in Upper Saucon Twp. with his wife, Susanna Mory age 45, and daughter, Harriet Mory age 20. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1147, Page 286A, house #35)
  On 9 October 1907 a small article appeared in the newspaper telling of a visit made by E. W. (Edgar Wallace) Speck of East Broad St. (Bethlehem) and his aunt, Mrs. George W. Murray (Elemina Yost), of Bethlehem, to the latter's uncle, Benjamin Mory, at his home in Upper Saucon Twp., Lehigh County. The article went on to say that "Mr. Mory is 81 years old and enjoys good health. With the exception of a few years he has been living his lifetime in the log house in which he and his brothers were born. He said he had never ridden a steam or trolley car. He is remarkably preserved for his four score and one years".
