Note: The sponsors at the baptism of Esther Rumfield were Dors Ruthi and Maria Mory. In 1850 Esther (listed as Hetty) (Rumfield) Walter (listed as Walder), age 35, was living in Allentown, Lehigh Co., PA, with her husband, Frederick Walter, age 43, a shoemaker, and four children:

In 1900 Esther (Rumfield) Walter, b. Jun 1815 in PA, age 84, a widow, was living at 401 Linden St. in the 8th Ward in Allentown, Lehigh Co., PA, in the household of her married daughter, Clara (Walter) Nadig, b. Nov 1854 in PA, age 45, and her husband, Henry Nadig, b. Feb 1844 in Germany, age 56, and seven of their children, all born in PA:
- son Charles H. Nadig, b. Oct 1871, age 28 - daughter Esther E. Nadig, b. Dec 1878, age 21 - son Robert F. Nadig, b. Apr 1881, age 19 - son William A. Nadig, b. Mar 1883, age 17 - son John A. Nadig, b. Apr 1884, age 16 - daughter Clara C. Nadig, b. May 1890, age 10 - son T. Earle Nadig, Nov 1894, age 5 Clara and Henry had been married for 30 years.
