Note: , Magdalena. Elizabeth Mory was married to William Rothrock by Rev. Mr. Zeller. At the time of their marriage in 1848, Elizabeth was living in Upper Saucon and William in Lower Saucon. Their marriage announcement appeared in the Thursday, 3 February 1848 edition of the "Democrat and Argus" newspaper in Easton, PA. In 1850 Elizabeth (Mory) Rothrock, age 28, was living In Lower Saucon Twp., Northampton Co., PA, with her husband, William Rothrock age 24 a shoemaker, and one daughter, Amanda S. Rothrock age 1. They owned real estate valued at $2600. (1850 census, microfilm roll #802, Northampton Co., PA., Lower Saucon Twp., pg. 53) In 1865 Elizabeth and her family moved to South Bethlehem. In 1870 Elizabeth (Mory) Rothrock, age 49, was living in South Bethlehem, Northampton Co., PA, with her husband, William Rothrock, age 44 a retired lumber merchant, and daughter, Amanda Rothrock age 21. They owned real estate valued at $12,000 and personal property of $6000. (1870 census, microfilm roll #1381, Northampton Co., PA, Bethlehem, pg. 339, house #89) In 1880 Elizabeth (Mory) Rothrock, age 58, was living in the 1st Ward in South Bethlehem with her husband, William Rothrock, age 53. His occupation was listed as "agent". Their married daughter, Amanda Sell, her husband William H. Sell, and two of their children were living in the same household. ELIZABETH ROTHROCK Mrs. Elizabeth Rothrock, widow of William Rothrock, died on Friday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Amanda Sell, No. 411 1/2 North Main street. She had been ill ten days with apoplexy. The deceased was born in Upper Saucon township on April 27, 1822, and was a daughter of Joseph and Marguerite (Deily) Morey. She had lived in South Bethlehem for many years. (Obituary dated 30 July 1907 from clipping collection at Moravian Historical Society, Nazareth, PA. Name of newspaper unknown.) Elizabeth is buried next to her husband in Section A, lot #121, in Nisky Hill Cemetery.
