In 1850 Elizabeth Ziegler, age 19, was listed as a maid in Upper Saucon Twp., Lehigh Co., PA, in the household of Jacob Algert, age 41 a farmer, and his wife, Mary (Mory) Algert, age 42. Also listed in the same household were Jacob Ochs age 57 a mason, Susanna Ochs age 57 (probably wife of Jacob), Rudolph Smith age 35 a tailor, Mary A. Roth age 11, and Marietta Smith age 2.
