  In 1850 Jacob Gangewere, age 60, was listed as a farmer in Upper Saucon Twp., Lehigh Co., PA, with real estate valued at $10,550. Listed in his household were his daughter, Maria Gangewere age 23, son John Gangewere age 18, daughter Elizabeth (Gangewere) Schantz, age 26 a widow, and her children; Frank Schantz age 4 and Amanda Schantz age 2, and daughter Catharine (Gangewere) Fenstermacher age 26.
