Note: aucon Twp., Lehigh Co., PA, with his wife, Eliza Gangewere age 38, and daughter, Amanda Gangewere age 6. He had no real estate but owned personal property valued at $2,000. Also listed in his household were two of his nephews, M. (Milton) Fenstermacher age 14, Albert Fenstermacher age 12, and Mary E. Adams age 17, all listed as servants. (Milton Fenstermacher and Albert Fenstermacher were sons of John's sister, Catharine (Kate) and her husband, Reuben Fenstermacher.) In 1880 John Gangewere, age 49 a farmer, was living in Upper Saucon Twp. with his wife, Elizabeth Gangewere age 49, and daughter, Amanda Gangewere age 16.
