Note: The sponsors at Abner Mory's baptism were his grandparents, Gotthardt Mory and his wife. The marriage of Abner Mory and Elemina Kemmerer appears in the records of the Reformed congregation of Jerusalem Union Church in western Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co. In 1870 Abner Mory, a hotel keeper, was living in Quakertown in upper Bucks Co., PA with his wife, Elemina, and children; Wilson, Rabella, Alice, Elizabeth, and Emma. (1870 census, Quakertown, Bucks Co., pg. 20, house #148) Abner's death and burial were recorded by Rev. Robert C. Weaver. Rev. Weaver recorded that Abner was buried in Friedens Church cemetery at Friedensville. However, Abner's tombstone is in St. Marks Cemetery in South Allentown. In 1880 Abner Mory's widow, Elemina Mory age 46, was living in Philadelphia in Philadelphia Co., PA, with four of their daughters; Bellie Mory age 22 a shirt maker, Alice Mory age 20 and also a shirt maker, Elizabeth Mory age 18 a hat trimmer, and Emma Mory age 10 at school.
