In 1870 David Mory, age 56 a farmer, was still living in Upper Saucon Twp. with his wife, Hannah Mory age 49. Son Edwin Mory, age 26, was still single and living at home along with David's unmarried sister, Salome Mory, age 61. Also listed in the same household were two servants, Dan Peter Horrace age 13 and Harry Arnold age 16. David owned real estate valued at $122,120 and had personal property of $5,000. In 1880 David Mory (listed as "Mohry", age 66 a retired farmer was living in Upper Saucon Twp., Lehigh Co., PA, with his wife, Hannah Mory age 58. Also listed in his household was his father-in-law, widower Peter Harris age 87, and a servant girl, Mary Reinhard aged 16 years old. David's son, Edwin Mory and his family were also living on their farm. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1147, Page 284B, house #19)
David died of old age at the age of 98.
