Note: ame to Fountain Hill with his parents, where he followed farming up to the time of his death. In 1897 he built a brick residence for his family and divided his father's farm into building lots.
In 1870 Elias Hellener, age 37 a farmer, was living in Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co., PA, with his wife, Mary Hellener age 31, and their daughter, Theresa Hellener age 4. They were living with Elias' widowed father, Christian Hellener, age 70 a farmer. Also listed in the household was Lucinda Snyder, aged 10. In 1880 Elias J. Hellener, age 46 a farmer, was still living in Salisbury Twp. with his wife, Mary Hellener age 41, and one daughter, Theresa Hellener age 14. Also listed in their household were a step-daughter, Lucinda Snyder age 20, and Elias' widowed father, Christian Hellener, age 82 a retired farmer.
