Note: The sponsors at Charles Ephraim Christ's baptism were Jacob and Anna Salome (Knauss) Christ. In 1850 Charles Ephraim Christ, age 34 a tanner, was living in Upper Saucon Twp., Lehigh Co., PA, with his wife, Saloma Christ age 28, and two children;

In 1860 Chas. E. Christ, age 44, a hat manufacturer, was living in Allentown, Lehigh Co., PA, with his wife, Salome (listed as Solomy) Christ, age 38, and two children:

In 1870 Charles Christ, age 54 a hat and cape merchant, was living in the 4th Ward in Allentown, Lehigh Co, PA, with his wife, Salome Christ age 48, and daughter: - Lizzie Christ age 22

In 1880 Charles Christ, age 64, a tanner, was living in the 4th Ward in Allentown, Lehigh Co., PA, with his wife, Salome Christ, age 58. There were no other individuals listed in their household. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1146, Page 85A)
