  In 1850 Catharine (Mory) Gernet, age 44, was living in Upper Saucon Twp., Lehigh Co., PA, with her husband, John Gernet, age 43 a farmer, and five Gernet children; Edwin age 13, Sarah age 12, Jacob age 9, Maria age 5, and Amanda age 1. Also listed in their household were John Schild, age 35, a laborer born in Germany, and Eliza Seifert age 14.   In 1880 Catharine Gernet, age 76 a widow, was living in Hellertown in Northampton Co., PA, in the household of her married daughter, Maria (Gernet) Laudenberger age 35, and her husband, Jesse R.
