Note: eir marriage in 1834, Elizabeth was living in North Whitehall in Lehigh Co. and John George in Upper Nazareth in Northampton Co. In 1850 Elizabeth (Strauss) Dilger (listed in the census as "Dilgert"), age 51 born in PA, was living in Upper Nazareth Twp., Northampton Co., PA, with her husband, John G. Dilger, age 54 born in Germany, a farmer, and one child: - Eliza C Dilger age 14 born in PA. They owned real estate valued at $3000. Findagrave.com - MEMORIAL ID 98163040) (Note: Several family genealogies on Ancestry.com, including the Wint/Wind genealogy, show that Elizabeth (Strauss) Dilger and her husband, Johann George Dilger, also had a son, Mathias James Dilger, born in 1842 and died in 1916 in Colfax, Fairfield Co., OH. This is believed to be incorrect. Mathias was not listed as a child in the family of Elizabeth (Strauss) Dilger and her husband, John G., in the 1850 census. And the 1880, 1900 and 1910 census all show that Mathias James Dilger was born in Ohio, not Pennsylvania. The 1850 census of Pleasant Twp., Fairfield Co., OH, shows that Mathias James Dilger was a son of John M. and Ladilla Dilger.)
