In 1900 John H. Morey, b. Oct 1843 in Ohio age 56, a widower, was living in Avena Twp., Fayette Co., Illinois, in the household of his married son, George Morey, b. May 1872 in Illinois, age 28, a farmer, and his wife, Rachel Morey b. Jan 1870 in Illinois age 30, and two of their children, both born in Illinois; daughter Minnie A. Morey b. Nov 1895 age 4 and son Blan F. Morey b. Jan 1900 age 4 months. George and Rachel had been married for 5 years. Rachel was the mother of 2 children, both of whom were living in 1900.
