Note: The sponsors at Abraham Reinhard's baptism were Andreas Walter and Dorothea Scherer. During his last years, Abraham was incapacitated by a physical ailment and for a time lived with his son, Edward, at Dillingersville, PA. For want of proper nursing it was deemed expedient to remove him to the hospital at the Lehigh County Home for treatment. At that time hospitals were few and far between. His removal to the hospital occurred on 2 September 1867, where, as the records there show, he improved materially; when he was taken ill with typhoid fever and died there on 27 August 1868, at the age of a little more than 71 years, and was buried there.
