Note: gh Co., PA, with three of their children; Hannah Mory age 21, Harriet Mory age 18, and Morgan Mory age 17. Also listed in her household was Adam Fry, age 28, a laborer on her farm. (1850 census, microfilm roll #792, Lehigh Co., PA, Upper Saucon Twp., pg. 204A, house #179) In 1870 Lydia Mory, age 65, was living in Upper Saucon Twp. in the household of Joseph Kreidler, age 46 a farmer, and his wife, Louise Kreidler age 45, and their three children. Also listed in the same household was Lydia's grandson, Sylvanis Wittman age 20 a weigh master. (1870 census, microfilm roll #1363, Lehigh Co., PA, pg. 651, Upper Saucon Twp., house #625) In 1880 Lydia Mory (listed as "Mohry"), age 72 a widow, was living in Upper Saucon Twp. in the household of Elias Fulmer, age 57 a farmer, and his wife, Rebecca Fulmer age 57, and their children. She was living next door to her son, Morgan Mory and his family. (1880 census, National Archives Film T9-1147, Page 284A, house #6) Lydia's obituary appeared in the "Argus" newspaper in November 1885. On 19 February 1874 Lydia (Schaffer) Mory wrote a will in which she requested burial at the Friedensville Cemetery in Upper Saucon Tsp. She bequeathed beds and bedding to her four children; Louisa married to Peter Wittman, Hannah married to John Jones; Harrietta married to John Rentzheimer, and Morgan Mory. The rest of her real estate and personal property was given to her children in four equal shares with Harrietta receiving only the interest from her share. After Harrietta's death, her share was to be paid to her heirs. The inventory of Lydia's estate showed that she owned a lot in Hellertown, PA.
