They owned real estate valued at $18,000 and had $2,000 of personal property. Living next door, with the family of Joseph and Louise Kreidler, was Louisa's widowed mother, Lydia Mory age 65, along with Louisa's son, Sylvanus Wittman, age 20, employed as a weight master.
