*Grandma was a wonderful seamstress. At Engel&Fetzer, she did alterations
for the store. Engel&Fetzer was a furrier company. She made clothes for all of her grandchildren. One year she made for me a small trunk full of beautiful outfits for my favorite doll. There was a cowgirl outfit complete with fringe and hat, and other dresses that had sequins and pearls on them they were a work of art. I think I still have them put away in the basement.
*I also remember that sometimes we would go to grandma's house after church on Sunday and she would make the best chicken and dumplings you have ever eaten.
 * She had a wonderful attic where we used to explore sometimes.
*I remember sleeping at her house, sometimes we would walk to the corner where there was a small grocery store and she would buy me something special there. She also liked to take us girls, one at a time, on a bus to the Cleveland Museum of Art in the springtime and we would walk in the gardens there and feed the ducks and watch the graceful swans on the lake. Then she would take us to get ice cream.
