Note: N56 aka Laura Shepherd McLaughlin OBITUARY OF LAURA (SHEPHERD) HARDING, CARROLL CHRONICLE, CARROLLTON, OHIO, FRIDAY MARCH 30, 1928 Mrs. Laura Harding died Friday night at her home on East Main Street after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. S. Rowe of the M. E. Church, at the home on Monday afternoon and burial was made at Simmons Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Harding was born near Amsterdam, April 9, 1857, being daughter of Francis and Ann Jane Shepherd. She was educated at Hopedale College. In 1877 she was married to William McLaughlin who died in 1892. Later she married Oliver Harding who died in 1921. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cordelia Gotschall, and two sons, Roscoe and Charles McLaughlin, all of Carrollton; also five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Homer C. Shepherd of Lathrop, Missouri, and two sisters, Jennie R. Shepherd and Cordelia F. Kelsey of Lakewood. She was a member of the Carrollton M. E. Church.
