a. Note:   Lois L. Strickfaden, 92, of 444 S. Parkway Drive, Apt. 601, formerly of 1020 State St., died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at Morton Villa in Morton.
  Born Dec. 27, 1909, in Green Valley to Clarence LaGrange and Verna Elizabeth Young Jones, she married Harlan R. Strickfaden on March 7, 1929, in Pekin. He died Nov. 5, 1971, in Pekin.
  She also was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Ronald; one sister; and five brothers.
  Surviving are one son, H. Robert (and Jean) of North Pekin; and one daughter, Betty Cook of Asheboro, N.C.
  She was a sales clerk at Allen's Vogue in Pekin for more than 35 years. She previously did piece work and coiled wire at Pekin Specialty for several years during World War II and had worked at Farmers Auto Insurance.
  Graveside services will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
