PEKIN -- Charlene A. Heilman, 68, of 1009 Henrietta St. died at 7:10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at OSF Saint Francis Medical
Center in Peoria.
Born May 26, 1929, in Pekin to Walter E. and Lorene V. Lenox Jones, she married Orville C. Heilman on May 23, 1948, in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Troy Heilman of Las Vegas, Daniel Heilman of Golden, Colo., Jeffrey Heilman and Todd Petri, both of Manito, and Brett Heilman of Pekin; two daughters, Mrs. John "Jack" (Dee) Luft of Pekin and Mrs. Jay (Julie Petri) Hangartner; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a licensed beautician and owned and operated a beauty salon in her home for many years.
She was selected Pekin's Mother of the Year in 1974 by the Pekin Jaycees.
She was a member of North Pekin Church of the Nazarene.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Roy Quanstrom will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to her church.
