a. Note:   1940 Census has him as "Phillip E. Moorman", born about 1917 in MN, married, living with his wife Sarah A. at what appears to be a boarding house in International Falls, Koochiching County, MN. Their address is 400-1/2 Third Street.
  Philip E. Moorman enlisted in the U.S. Army on 15 Sep 1944 at Seattle WA. His residence at that time was Koochiching County, MN. He indicated that he had had 3 years of high school. Apparently this was his second enlistment date - his first was 15 Sep 1942. He was fully discharged on 9 Jan 1946. He served in the Phillippines, among other places.
  He is buried in Section P, Site 3087, of Fort Snelling National Cemetery. He is misidentified as "Philip H. Moorman", and his birth date of 16 Jun 1916 and death date of 12 Apr 1975 are both wrong.
