 NELLIE V. GEDDES, 87, of 1028 Buchanan Trail East, Greencastle, was pronounced dead Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, in her home. Death was unexpected and attributed to a fall.
 Born July 22, 1913, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Bion and Grace (Calimer) Riley. She lived most of her life in the Waynesboro and Shady Grove areas.
 Mrs. Geddes attended Waynesboro schools.
 She and her husband, Ralph E. Geddes, were married in 1948 in Hagerstown. Mr. Geddes died Dec. 27, 1980.
 Early in her life, Mrs. Geddes worked at the former Gem Garment Factory in Greencastle. Prior to retiring, she was an assembly worker in Fairchild Aircraft Manufacturing, Hagerstown.
 Mrs. Geddes was a member of Greencastle Presbyterian Church, where she was active in various groups and activities.
 Mrs. Geddes enjoyed gardening, quilting and cooking
 She is survived by three daughters, Grace Gsell of Mercersburg, Dolores Unger of Winnsboro, S.C., and Virginia Hooker of Augusta, Ga.; 29 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
 In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Geddes was preceded in death by one grandson, Rick Unger; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte Monn; three brothers, Pete Riley, Stanley Riley and John Riley; and a number of stepbrothers and stepsisters.
 Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor David W. Ross officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Quincy.
 The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Monday in the funeral home.
