Note: Harry Dean Cochrun, who in August was 39 for the 20th time, died Monday, December 30, 2002 following a sudden illness. Retired from GM in 1995, and presently employed by H&R Block for the past 17 years. Harry-Skip-Chester-Chuck was an avid NASCAR fan and HO train buff. He loved roller coasters, cruises, and life itself. He gave many years of service to the Twigs of Children's Hospital and was Santa to many Central Ohio children. Survived by wife, Maggie Cochrun; father-in-law, John Heim; children, Dean Cochrun, Daradee (Don) Ickes, and Russell Cochrun; grandchildren, Marianne, Daniel, Joshua, Aaron, Tony, Lucky Ann, and Richie; special friends, Shelley, Jo, Sarah, Terry, Chari, Kenny, and Patty. Also survived by 5 fur children, Tax, Boof, Princess, Abby, and Domino. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-7 p.m. with a funeral service being held at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 2 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory. He put a smile on so many of our faces and in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
