Notes
a. Note:   n your family. I r esearch in the Nasielsk area. I went to conduct a research for someone i n Pultusk State Archive. There are Lutheran records of Nasielsk prior 1 901. I had some free time, so I ordered records of Nasielsk. You are r ight thinking that your family came from Nasielsk. Your family name was s pelt ``Neske´´ in records. I found your great grandfather Julius Neske´s b irth certificate. He was a son of Jan Neske and Wilhelmina Kaszynska. I a lso found a Jan and Wilhelmina marriage record. Your sincerely, Mich al Marciniak Warsaw, Poland ****************************************** *********************** **** Translation of the marriage record follows : N 15 Sochocin Debiniki It happened in a town of Nasielsk on 4th/16th o f November 1884 at 3 p.m. Appeared Leopold Braun, cantor of Debiniki, 2 6 years old and Leopold Kaszynski farmer of Wolka, 40 years old - today , got married Jan Julius Neske, single, farmer of Sochocin, 29 years ol d, born n Sochocin, son of Jakob Neske farmer and his wife Anna nee Hin tz and Wilhelmina Kaszynska, single, residing with a mother in Debiniki 2 4 years old. Daughter of late Frydrych Kaszynski and his wife Wilhelmin a nee Boy. Free banns were announced, published in the Nasielsk's branc h's prayers home in Konary in 13/25 October, 20 October / 1 November an d 27 October / 7 November 1884. New married stated that they did not co nclude a premarital contract. A record was read and signed by new marri ed and witnesses and me. Note: Information in a margin is a rest of th e following sentence "published in 13/25 October, 20 October / 1 Novemb er and 27 October / 7 November 1884". Probably, a pastor missed it and t herefore attached a rest of sentence to the margin. It looks like Jan N eske could have been illiterate. He also did not sign a birth cert of h is son Julius. But often happened that witnesses and parents could writ e but did not sign records at that time. You ancestries faith was "ewa ngelicko-augsburska" in Polish. It is a Lutheran's faith. You asked me t o find out a name of the Lutheran church in Nasielsk.. This is weird be cause the archive called records "Records of the Lutheran's Parish in N asielsk". There was no church in Nasielsk at time, there was just a pra yer home, a kind of chapel. Probably, the church was in Konary. A town o f Konary is few miles to the NW of Nasielsk. I'm working on finding out w hat was in Konary and what was in Nasielsk. *************************** ************************************** **** It happened in a town of Bi ala Brzeznica on the 30th of March / 11th of April 1855 at noon. Appea red Jakub Neske, 35 years-old farmer of Kolonia Sochocin, in presence o f witnesses Krystian Kannenberg, 29 (or 69) years-old farmer of Kolonia S ochocin and Beniamin Foth , 30 years-old farmer of Kolonia Sochocin an d showed us a child, male sex, born on the 12th / 24th of March in a c urrent year at 9 (or 10) p.m. to his wife Anna nee Hinzt, 34 years old. A c hild was given during a Holy Baptism held today a name of Jan Juliusz a nd his godparents were Krystian Kannenberg and Katarzyna Dey. A documen t was read to a father and witnesses because they are illiterate and si gned just be me.
