a. Note:   ant Death. Arc hie Peacock was almost instantly killed last evening at Robbins station , on the Baltimore & Ohio railroad. Peacock was only 18 years of age, a nd was a miner employed at Blythe´s coal works. The young man had fini shed his work for the day and had left the mines on his way home. To r each home he had to cross the railroad tracks. When he reached the rai lroad he was walking with his head bent forward, he looked neither to t he right nor the left and seemed unconscious of everything about him. T he Uniontown express, due here at 5 o´clock was thundering along within a f ew feet of him. He stepped on the track, directly in front of the trai n, and the next instant was being crushed beneath the iron wheels. The t rain was stopped as quickly as possible, and the unfortunate´s mangled b ody gathered out from under the train. He was fearfully cut and crushe d and died in a few minutes. Young Peacock was very well thought of by t he residents of Robbins station. The body was taken to his home, and t he coroner notified.
